In a cabin surrounded by leafless trees and moss-covered boulders deep within the Pocono mountains, Drew spent 4 days alone exorcising the accumulated background noise to hear the songs building up pressure in his head. A classical guitar discovered in the corner of the cabin next to stacks of firewood for the cast iron stove captured the feel of the place and colored the music and the songwriting process. The results are 9 songs about escape, physical and emotional isolation, futility, frustration and death, belied by warm harmonies and nylon strings.
A perfect soundtrack for quarantine.
